The painter perhaps closest to the owners’ heart is Robert Harcus. Co. Wicklow south of Dublin is often called the Garden of Ireland and its tranquil countryside has inspired Harcus’ art. You can almost feel the coldness of a frosty morning as a man and his dog walks his cows down a country road towards pasture. The bare winter landscape is alive with colour blended with browns and cool blues. In his work cows, horses, and his other subjects are lovingly created in the pastoral scenes.
